Good Intentions
Do not fuck me with your light.
With promises, ideals, with good intentions.
With what you hope to be. What you think you should do.
I never loved that man. I never invited him here.
Fuck me with your dark.
With the parts you put away when you impress someone new.
Fuck me with your worst fears, your humiliating pain. Tell me you are afraid to be all in even after all of this.
Tell me you have no clue about what being all in even means.
Fuck me with that raw honesty, that is the only thing that calls me back. Reminds me we have something worth fighting for.
Touch me with the fire that burns away the lies that we tell in good company.
When this feels right I will not show up in my richest white attire. With my soul neatly pressed with jewels of sacred calmness, of fierce untouchability.
I will not rest with prayer hands in the gentle breeze.
I will be a sacred mess.
And you will want to taste this.
I will hold every last desire in my hands: the hurt and the joy and show you what you tried to forget and now you’re so damn grateful you can’t. Because the calling out sets us free and yet brings us home—if you are ready. If you want this.
To the ending of pretty so it can save us completely.
